Ruth's Hemp Bars provide lots of protein and essential fatty acids! These bars are an excellent mid-point between the typical all-natural bar which is usually low-protein, and the typical energy bar, which is often high protein, but usually not natural. Ruth's Hemp Bars provide about 5 grams of protein in an all natural bar to give you the energy boost you need. Most of the bars are made with toasted hemp seed, to provide a great crunch! Three are made with SoftHemp, our own certified organic shelled hemp seed. The SoftHempTM Bars are chewy rather than crunchy. See which ones you prefer. Ruth has now introduced three flax bars. These bars contain 24% ground and whole flax. Flax is another amazing seed, providing lots of Omega 3 and Flax Lignans. Lignans are a type of phytoestrogen, and have been shown in animals to have excellent anti-cancer properties. Studies in humans are on-going. Besides that, flax aids in digestion.
